When I read the blurb on the back of the book I thought it sounded interesting, so I decided to give it a go!
Unfortunately it didn't quite deliver...
The main character, Ever, lost her faimly in a car accident and barely survived herself. Now she can se auras and hear what people are thinking. Until one day when a handsome boy starts in her class, she can't "read" him at all. And she is instantly attracted to him...
Then follows the whole jumping between "I'm not good enough for him" to "I love him so much" to "I don't think I can trust him"... I get that teenagers can be insecure, but in the long run I just got fed up with it. I think the story has potential, but there is just too much teenage angst for my liking. And yes, I have long past my teenage years, so maybe that's where the problem is? (Though I have read YA books and enjoyed them before, so maybe that's not the only reason)
I also kept thinking it reminded me a lot of Twilight..
All in all an OK read, but I don't think I will be reading the other books in the series...
