This is book 2 in the series, and picks up where the first one ended.
Zoey has settled down at her new school and is coming to terms with her new powers. But not everything is as it seems, and there is danger lurking around the corner. Then a teenage boy (human) disappears and is later found dead, apparently killed by a Vampyre. Is Zoey and her friends in danger? It might not always be great being the one with power, sometimes it might make you and your friends a target...
I am still liking this series, and will definitely be continuing with the next book. The only thing I have a problem with is the 'love-triangle'. In addition to her human ex-boyfriend (that she apparently is now more interested in after she discovered that his blood tastes awesome) and her new fledling boyfriend, she now also has one of the teachers seemingly interested in her... And of course (being a teenager I guess) she is completely unable to choose between them... Never been a huge fan of that type of drama. But it's not so bad that I don't want to keep reading.
