Firelight

Firelight - Sophie Jordan *** 2.5 Stars ***

This book was... ok.
When I picked it up at the library I was hoping it was great. I mean.. dragons, right?! And the story seemed like it would be ok too.
Unfortunately it doesn't quite come through in my opinion.

Parts of the story doesn't really make sense to me. I don't want to do any spoilers here, in case you are planning on reading it for yourself, so I can't go into detail..
And I really didn't like the (extremely) abrupt ending. I mean, I know that writing a series instead on single books is what "everyone" does these days. I get that. That doesn't mean you have to end quite that fast though in my opinion... And yea, I know the point is to make you want to read (and buy, I'm sure) the next book straight away. I guess it just annoyed me..

So if you're really into young adult books and dragons, then feel free to give this one a go.
Personally I might have read the other 2 books if my library had those as well (apparently my local library are fans of having only the first book in series - annoying much?! This has happened to me several times, and I now check if they have all the books in a series before starting a read... Rant over ;) )
I don't think I'll be forking out and buying the rest of the series though. I'm not that interested in finding out how it all ends to be honest...
